Initially motivated to rob Wexler of his highly advanced technology, Chris became associated with intense super powers after running into Owl in Washington D.C., who proposed to Chris that he joins him and The Brother on a mission to overtake Wexler together. After successfully stealing Wexler's machine, Chris was granted even more power, thereby resulting in him leaving the powerful trio to go fight on his own.

Chris was taken to prison when he was 18 years old, however, he escaped. Once free, a local disturbance resulting from a MiP malfunction after geology-based vlogger Ben Samahon discovered him, led Chris into believing that Wexler was still out there with power, unaware of MiP's existence. A confrontation with Wexler resulted in Chris discovering the truth behind the disturbance, causing him to teleport to MiP's current location, TLS headquarters, where he met Commander Leo Perlstein.
